Kevin was awesome. Professional, knowledgeable, and gave us the perfect experience. Easily would’ve taken us 3 days to visit the sites on our own... and we certainly would not have had the context provided from the tour. With COVID a continuing concern, having a vehicle to transport us around instead of hopping on and off a dozen+ trains and busses, was a comforting benefit. Will use this service again when other family comes out to visit Japan in the future.

Let’s figure out what kind of life the ancient people had and what they thought when building such a huge tomb. You will rent a bike and cycle around the huge tomb which is located in a residential area on this tour. It is so huge that it looks like a mountain and you can’t quite get the overall picture. This was a great little tour that had a very fun hands-on experience in the middle of it. Make sure you wear blue clothes or something else that you wouldn't mind getting dyed blue from splashes of indigo dye. The dyeing part was really cool and it was great to be able to take home a souvenir. Also, the park with all the old Japanese buildings was fascinating and a perfect spot for some really cool photos. We went at the very beginning of December, and there were still a lot of gorgeous fall colors in the trees. I would recommend this tour to people who are into traditional Japan or traditional Japanese architecture.
