We had booked a car with driver for 10 days from Osh to Bishkek (November 2019). When arranging our itinerary, Talant was very responsive to our emails, allowing for us to set up our trip with ease. Kuba was our driver and his friend, Muha, was there to help should we have any issues with snow covered roads in the Pamir Highway. We had the most remarkable tour with Kuba, who is not only an excellent driver but also speaks good English and has thorough knowledge of the region. During the trip, I unfortunately fell terribly ill, but Kuba went out of his way to drive me through the night (10 hours!) to the nearest hospital and acted as my translator/guide while I was being medically treated. After I recovered, he even took us back to where we had abruptly left the trip without any extra charge for himself. At every instance, we felt that Kuba and Muha truly cared about us and did their best to ensure that we had a memorable time. The trip itself, which not only included driving along the main Pamir Highway but also off-roading in eastern Tajikistan, was met with breath-taking views of the Pamir Mountains, immaculate lakes and beautiful pastures. Also, all homestays arranged for us were comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. I would highly recommend using Visit Alay tours and having Kuba as their driver to anyone wanting an adventure of a lifetime – they will definitely deliver!

Central Asia Three stans - stretches from the Caspian Sea in the west to China in the east and from Afghanistan in the south to Russia in the north. It is also colloquially referred to as "the -stans" as the countries generally considered to be within the region all have names ending with the Persian suffix "-stan", meaning "land of". Central Asia has historically been closely tied to its nomadic peoples and the Silk Road. It has acted as a crossroads for the movement of people, goods, and ideas between Europe, Western Asia, South Asia, and East Asia.
