Located in the Naches Ranger District, this is an easy hiking trail that is less than a mile in length.

I last visited Boulder Cave as a 6th header and had a wonderful time. The cave was dark and a little scary (no sound or light is disorienting) but it was a great tome. We hiked the trail, had lunch, and learned about cave ecosystems and the geology of the area. I loved it. My nephew is finally old enough to share the same experience. The school doesn’t do field trips much anymore, but he loved the trail! We were saddened to learn that the bats on the cave are endangered, mostly by human activity. If you go to the cave, make sure to follow all of the instructions and do not disturb the bats. There were a bunch of teenagers (hold the boomer jokes) who were waving their flashlights around and yelling in the cave. Not cool. Overall, great experience. If you have kids between 5-10 it’s a great walk and doable in an afternoon. Highly recommend.
