Mirissa (Sinhalese: මිරිස්ස) is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara District of the Southern Province. I went there with an open mind and thought that I would maybe want a loose pants made (Still I had my favourite jumpsuit with me just in case I would need them for to show my size or something).. Anyway I first chose the fabric and the Jayamini showed me some photos of clothes she had made. I saw one cute dress with a lovely top and asked if I could have similar top in a jumpsuit. That was just ok for Jayamini and she took some measures of me. After few day she texted me that I could pick it. Jayamini totally got a hug from me <3

What a happy chance to find this wonderful little jewelry and gemstone store in Mirissa. Beautiful hand-crafted jewelry offered by an exceptionally genuine, friendly and knowledgeable family-run business. There's absolutely no hard sell here. Everything is about their passion, love and knowledge of Sri Lankan gems. We were really touched by their kindness and the way they took such care showing and explaining everything to us. We have three young girls who felt like princesses that day looking at all the treasures! Roosara Gems is the perfect place to explore Sri Lanka's famed sapphires and moonstones. Definitely recommended! :-)
