December 20, 2021 Marissa Gamble

If you’re into eating locally and supporting sustainable agriculture, go to Asheville—and eat, eat, eat. This town of less than 100,000 people has 17 farmers’ markets, and the local restaurant scene is all about taking advantage of the seasonal produce sold there. And don’t miss the area’s microbreweries.

We’re locals and frequent kolo whenever we can. It the perfect place for kids and adults to progress up skills both with climbing and descending. There’s drops, jumps and features that go from easy to advanced. The pump tracks are set up the same way to progress up. Whenever we plan a trip to a DH park we hit kolo before to work on jumps and drops. I would recommend for any skill level. Also, the shop guys are absolutely outstanding. Super knowledgeable about the trails and expert level mechanics.
