Local food, fresh food, you can’t find at the big box stores on Route1. Meet the farmer and learn what’s in season. Weekly visits are worth the trip. Vegetables, fruits, baked goods and butcher under one roof. Parking easy.

The seat of the New Jersey state government. Inspiring citizens since 1792 The New Jersey State House – discover the state’s most historic public building.
Take the free tour and learn a lot about this state's capital (the building itself is different than the US Capitol!) Lotsa history here, and for Capital Collectors, the stamp is at the tour lectern. Recommended.

Directly accross the street from the New Jersey State House, the memorial is beautiful, informative and respectful to those who served our nation in WWII.

Picturesque park in Trenton, New Jersey.
This beautiful park is within walking, jogging distance to my home. I never, ever have felt unsafe and often encounter others walking their dogs or with children. I have fond memories of visiting the park when I was a child to view the bear and monkeys-which of course in hindsight was quite cruel for the bear. But all and all it is a hidden gem and a lovely place. BTW-it is great for xc skiing when there is snow and good for a run in warmer weather or just a peaceful walk across the lawns. It also appears that with renovations there is good use of a new playground and the outdoor vestibule by families. Ellarslie is a hidden gem as well! Yes, there are people who litter. Yes, there are people smoking pot. But, this happens everywhere. And unfortunately, ATV'ers mar the lawns. I wish the the employees who work in the park and local law enforcement would do something about it too but, all in all, it's a park for the community and its families. Finally, I am a woman and have never felt unsafe in this park, ever and I have used it from dawn to dusk.
