Metals and Nature

Our garden has been open for over 30 years, filled with handmade wrought iron, statuary, and a variety of animals throughout two acres of mossy oak trees. Take a stroll by Boinky the pig, have a chat with the parrots, and watch the peacocks strut their feathers all while surrounded by our handcrafted iron designs and unique statuary. Gates, furniture and iron décor of all styles - we make custom designs and have original designs ready for purchase. People come to relax, take pictures, paint, or just eat lunch on the picnic tables. There's never a need to buy anything, simply enjoy the blend of art and nature. Make yourself at home in the garden and ring the big bell by the gazebo if you need anything, including complimentary water and bug spray. We're open Wednesday-Sunday 10am-4pm and Monday and Tuesday by appointment.

This garden is absolutely beautiful! It's not too far from the Berry Barn on State Rd 60. You can't miss it. There are large signs about their wrought iron gates and statues that will lead you in. Yes, 2 acres of iron artwork and sculpted statues. It's a butterfly garden with beautiful birds. They even have a talking pig that comes up to you as soon as you approach his home. A very vocal pig! I literally was mesmerized by all of this. We were greeted by a talking parrot. I believe her name is Annie (or so I've read). She says "Hi" to you as you walk up to her cage. Such a sweetie! A nice woman who I believe was the owner told us to ring the huge bell out front if we needed her for anything. Apparently they are used to people coming to visit just to get inspired. The entire garden is full of strategically placed sculptures, iron work, fountains, and many outdoor accessories (benches, tables, mail boxes, and so on). It's a place of business but also a botanical garden. As you walk along the paths towards the back of the garden you will also see a very large caged area sitting near a pond. There are some larger peacocks, a rooster, and another type of bird contained inside of it. You'll also see a few peacocks roaming through the garden. It was actually quite funny because I had initially seen them from afar at the other end of the garden. I didn't see them anymore as we got near to that part of the garden. I started to ask my mother where they all went, and that's when I noticed that the peacock was right in front of us (about 4 feet away). My mother didn't see it immediately until I told her where it was. It was as still as a statue. It just happened to turn around and look at us. Then, I saw his buddy in the garden behind him looking for insects in the bushes. There was also a white peacock that looked like a little princess. What a cool experience! I can't wait to go back. I'd like to get a few things for my garden one day soon. It was such a peaceful place. A place that anyone would enjoy. They are not open on Monday and Tuesday so plan accordingly. I suggest that you go this time of year (December or January) when it's cool. I'm sure that it's even more beautiful in the spring and summer. But there is water nearby, and with water there are mosquitoes. We thankfully didn't see or feel any mosquitoes today.

Stopped in after the Strawberry Festival to check the winery out. We were very impressed with the place, great wine flights and amazing apps. If we were from the area, we would make this place a must go to for date night or just a fun little stop. The wait staff was the best, Bob was really a genuine nice guy. Stop and say hi to Bob from the couple from Minnesota!
