The dream of two friends that began brewing on their back porch. Funded by the sales of toy collections, musical equipment, and some family help; a once 12 seat bar room is now a 280 seat Craft Brewery in the heart of Central Florida and a 2017 Florida Brewery of the Year winner. From the beginning and through today, Hourglass Brewing is about creating world class beer and turning outlandish ideas into delicious and nuanced craft brews. Come grab a pint, a snifter, or sampler and relax on our dog friendly patio or take a peek behind the glass walled brew house to observe the daily brew process. Our taproom is uniquely decorated with nostalgic remembrances, geek culture, and the work of local artists. Stacked with table top and console games for free play, we also host frequent live music and comedy nights. One visit and you'll see that Hourglass Brewing is as distinct as the beers that are poured here.
This place is awesome. Great beers, great atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. If you love beer then this place is a must visit.

When I moved to Orlando in 1996 there were probably a dozen used bookstores. Other than the store inside the public library, this is the last one standing. And this is a really really good one. There aren't enough shelves for all the books you can find here. Every shelf seems to have another stack in front of it. It's a pleasure looking through these stacks. I drop by whenever I am in Longwood. I implore every reader to go at least once a month and buy something. I don't want to see this place go away.

Although The Senator is no longer there as it burned down awhile ago, Lady Liberty still stands strong about 40 feet away. She is estimated to be about 2000 years old, which is still really impressive.

Longwood Historic District is grest, love all of the big old houses. The Reiter Park was just redone with lots of tables and a play area. There is always something going on in the District,. At the Park is-- Movie Park--Food Trucks--Farmers Market--car show--Arts and Crafts and of course Christmas Parade, all this is around the Historic District. So call for the dates of the special events, and come and enjoy some of the fun...My home town. P.S. Longwood also has depot for the Sunrail.....
