The third-largest city in Poland, Lodz's historical and global significance is largely due to the ghetto that was built there during World War II. Strolling the picturesque central streets will give you an appreciation for the strength of this city and its citizens. Explore the Muzeum Sztuki modern art museum, which houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Poland, or spend the day thrill-seeking at Lunapark amusement park.

The tour was booked in advance for us by our travel agent. We were picked up on time from another hotel around the corner from us. The coach was clean (brand new) and comfortable. A very friendly and knowledgeable guide accompanied us on the coach. During the journey there was a documentary shown on the history of Auschwitz. On arrival at Auschwitz 1, we were given around 30 minutes to visit the toilets and purchase refreshments at the restaurant. It was very very busy with long queues (I would recommend taking a packed lunch which some hotels supply, to save queuing). For the tour you go in smaller groups with a tour guide, you are given headsets so you can hear what is said. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. My review is not of Auschwitz itself (for that I have no words, only great sadness). After Auschwitz 1 there is a 10 minute break for the toilets, then onto Auschwitz 2, Birkenau. It was very cold and bleak. I didn’t complete this tour due to my mobility, it’s a long walk. For those that did, on return it was a very quick toilet break again before climbing back on board for the return journey. The only criticism I would have is that the breaks are short. But I think this is out of control of the tour company due to time constraints at Auschwitz itself, there are thousands of visitors so I think tours are strictly timed.

We were a group of four. The tour was for approx. 7 hours in the car. They sent us a large enough car so it was very comforting. Our driver gave us pit stops on the way when we requested and our guid in Krakow gave us some stop at the cafe and souvenir shops for us so we had some free time and learned interesting historical facts about Krakow. Very interesting and comforting experience in total. Breakfast and dinner is not included so I recommend that we bring some snacks on the tour.
Combination of many different attractions during one day. Professional history lesson provided in an elegant way. Really impressive Manufaktura is a big attraction itself. We will choose one of best restaurants over there and enjoy traditional polish feast :) It will be included in price of the tour. Arthur Rubinstein's family graves. History of Izrael Poznanski. I will pick you up in Warsaw and drive back. One hour one way to and from Lodz. Enjoyable day.

I was very pleased to learn that Artur continues to provide tour guide services. He was the best guide that we encountered during our multiple visits to Europe. Since his grandfather had lived through some gruesome experiences during the second world war, Artur was able to provide such vivid details which one cannot find in the history books. Our trip to Warsaw was an exceptional one and we have fond memories of our conversations with Artur. To him, this is not just a job; it's a tribute to those of previous eras who have valiantly fought and sacrificed for the well-being of the current generation.

If you are planning to stay in Warsaw for a few days but also would like to see Łódź? We have a perfect solution for you! A private driver will pick you up from the address provided in Warsaw by Mercedes car, comfortable for 1 - 6 passengers and will take you to Łodź for a full-day tour. During this 3-hour City Tour, the local guide English speaking will introduce you to the atmosphere of this beautiful industrial city. It is often compared to Manchester – the largest 19th century textile industry center in the world. Lodz is therefore often called the “Polish Manchester”. One of the first steam engines in the Kingdom of Poland was run at Ludwik Geyer’s White Factory in 1839 and it was here that the first factory chimney appeared on the Lodz skyline. After sightseeing and lunch, the driver will take you back to Warsaw and drop you off at your chosen location. The following program is only an example, the guide and the driver are at your disposal. Great service, very professional and straight forward. We went for a long over 3h trip and it was super comfortable. Definitely will use it again. Thank you
Lodz is the third largest city in Poland that hundred years ago used to be the center of the polish industry. For that reason Lodz used to be called the Promised Land or the polish Manchester. However, the greatest strength of this city comes from its history. During World War II, the Nazi Germans annexed Lodz to the Reich and changed its name to Litzmannstadt. Shortly after that, they built a ghetto and locked over 200.000 Polish Jews up inside it. Only few people survived. The district has survived though, and today it commemorates those tragic events. Lodz is the city of contrasts. In the middle of the maze of factories and workshops the picturesque center is hidden. It’s the most beautiful part of the city. There are plenty of splendid, pre-war buildings with rich decorated facades. They represent a unique style that you will find neither in Warsaw nor in Krakow. It takes only one hour and a half to get to Lodz from Warsaw and it’s really worth doing it.
