Home to one of the world's most active volcanoes, snow-capped Piton de Fournaise, Reunion is a little known gem. This rocky, French-governed island off the coast of East Africa is easily explored by Les Cars Jaunes, yellow buses that link main settlements. The road into the mountains provides breathtaking scenery. Bike tours on rough back roads are an option for the brave and the extremely fit. Beyond the reach of cars, untamed village Cirque de Mafate shows the island's wildest side.

Villa Coeur Vanille is a cute house for 6 with heat pool and jacuzzi for relaxation. There are 3 bedrooms. The place is very quiet. We live near the house but we are very discreet. I speak english a little and it will be a pleasure for me to welcome you and help you to make your trip become a success you'll never forget... see you soon ! ;-)

Belle surprise! Court séjour très agréable après une randonnée sur la canalisation des orangers, apaisant, reposant... Pleins de charme et pleins de petites attentions. Je recommande fortement. Tout petit bémol sur la température du jacuzzi, qui n’était pas assez chaud.

We stayed at St Alexandre for three nights and liked it so much that we asked for an extension and stayed a bit longer. By this we got to know two different bungalows. The bungalows are fantastic: they are tucked away among palm and orange trees with nice views, own parking and veranda. They are all styled according to a certain topic like sea or one had a really sweet Chinese interior. The kitchen is very well equipped with all sorts of things, like a washing machine, different kinds of plates and knifes and even a rice cooker and an electric orange squeezer. Which was very helpful because we were allowed to collect oranges and make our own juice. The bungalows are spotless and very well looked after. The host welcomed us with a home made lychee punch and some snacks and was always very friendly and helpful. Nearby is a lake and place where one can book horse riding. This definitely was the best place we stayed at during our time on La Réunion.
