Cody, named for its legendary founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, remains as full of Old West adventure as it was during the days when Bill himself roamed Wyoming. Serving as the Eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is just a few miles away from pristine wilderness where actual buffalo can still be seen. The town attracts tourists and cowboys alike with reenactments of famous shoot-outs, restored frontier buildings and with the Cody Stampede, which the town hosts every July 4.

I’ve attended The Nutcracker in Cody every year for the past 13 years, and every year it gets better and better. It’s amazing what a small dance studio in a rural Wyoming town can do. I’m an avid traveler, and while I realize there’s a distinction between different styles of ballet, I can honestly say, I’m more impressed with the Cody production of this great story than I was by the New York City Ballet’s version.

Dan Miller's Cowboy Music Revue just celebrated its 15th year of entertainment in Cody, Wyoming. Over 170,000 visitors from around the world have made this show a part of their Wyoming vacation experience. The dinner/show option is $39.99, show only tickets are $20.
Enjoyed meeting the members of this group before the show. The talent of Dan, Hannah, and Wendy was obvious by the quality of their show. Dan has a great personality and keeps the show fun with his stories and expressions. The awesome selection of songs had us clapping, snapping our fingers, and tapping our feet! We did the show and dinner (at the Irma Hotel) package for $39.99. My friend had the prime rib and I had the teriyaki salmon entrees which also included soup or salad, potatoe selections, non-alcoholic drinks, garlic toast, and dessert. All the food at the Irma was excellent. We even had time between dinner and the show to watch the free old west gunfight show on the street outside of the Irma. I definitely recommend both for a fun evening in Cody Wyoming.

This show is a must see when visiting Cody, WY! A chuck wagon dinner (food that cowboys eat), which included Beef Brisket, Baked Chic en, slaw, baked beans, apple sause, salad, cornbread, lemonade & IT. There's alcohol if you care for it. Plenty off food for everyone, but save room for the brownies! The show is put on my incredibly talented musicians. Some new members of the band have made the show better. Sometimes, after the show, they continue to play whatever song you want. Plenty of time to get to the rodeo or head out to another venue. It's a long day of travel, but this is an attraction you must fit into your schedule.

We had such a great time! So much talent in one spot, all to render a musical journey of how Buffalo Bill Cody became the greatest Western showman on Earth—for all time! It’s so good to see this local theater ???? engaging audiences again—especially with live theater! (The last time we visited was in late 2007 or early 2008 for a movie showing—& the theater closed a few days later!) Go to their website & check out the last remaining shows before their season closes out! Good, clean fun for the entire family—& the hot buttered popcorn & the many flavor combinations of the soda fountain bar inside are a perfect match for enjoying the musical. Buffalo Bill Cody was a marketing genius, & a legend for all time—& he was ahead of his times in so many ways; it’s great to see a musical with great talent on display as well as several touching moments throughout which help us connect to the man himself—& a few of the people close to him. Buffalo Bill Cody deserves to be celebrated as an all-American hero. The actual quotes used in dialogue as well as the interspersed photos & film clips of Buffalo Bill & his Wild West Show are wonderful!
