We arrived at the church by the Rialto bridge and Anna was waiting for us. We started on time as we introduced each other. We walked through the market close to the Rialto bridge, although as we were on a later tour, the fish market was over. First stop was a cichetti bar close by where I had a whipped salted cod open sandwich. Delicious. Anna explained about the history of cichetti, about the reason why certain dishes have been created, while we ate. We wandered round the narrow streets of San Polo while Anna pointed out buildings, shops, told stories about food, in between each food stop. We visited a few cichetti bars which each had their own specialties. We sampled wines. We tried prosciutto, ham, cheeses in a small deli and bought a bottle of a heavenly balsamic condiment to take home. After the savouries came the sweet - cakes, pastries and amazing gelateria. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour tour and we will do it again if we revisit Venice. A perfect way to experience the city and one definitely to be a DO NOT MISS THIS tour. Thank you Anna. We had a great time and ate far too much!! ????

I booked a tour with these folks over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. As an avid photographer, my goal was to capture some of the more out of the way places in Venice, and to do it at night. Mark & Carla were wonderful guides, walking me around the city exploring dark corners, telling stories, and negotiating with locals to let us into areas that we generally wouldn't be able to see or even know about. They also provided, at the end of our walk, a map of the areas we explored, as well as information about other places and sights that I might be interested in exploring on my own. All in all, a great experience. These people take the time to do it right. Never felt rushed or intimidated or bound to a schedule or path.
This tour will make you appreciate the real beauty of Venice, when St. Mark’s Square is still empty and illuminated by the first morning lights. You will enjoy a great breakfast with three of the best pastry shops of the city

The tour was good however, there was a lot of focus on the art in the palace rather than the history. I would have preferred to hear more about the history of the palace, government and Venice in general over its long history
The Way of Marco Polo between Spices Textile and Olfactory Tea Experience. Pick up from Rialto San Giacometto Church
Inclusions: Professional guide, Tea tasting experience, Perfume Layering to The Merchant of Venice Atelier.
Exclusions: Hotel drop-off, Hotel pickup
This was our second tour of the trip with Gianni. We left the kids at the apartment with some of the group and met Gianni in the evening for the tour. Since we were staying in the Dorsoduro area, Gianni offered to do the tour there. At the beginning of the tour, we requested that he include some stops for wine along the way, and he happily obliged. We all had such a good time on the tour! The stories and anecdotes were very entertaining and the wine stops were perfect. Having someone able to speak Italian was very beneficial. We ended up at a local place drinking wine and eating a delicious meat, cheese, and olive plate. I won't say how much, but our 1-1/2 hour tour went well beyond the end time. Again, if you can do a tour with Gianni, you should do so!
Combine your love for tiramisù, coffee and gelato with your passion for Venice on this walking tour of the romantic city. Taste the delicious Italian dessert while exploring the Rialto area and its market. Take a mid morning walk around Venice to experience its expresso culture and listen to the history of the city. Discover the secrets behind Italy's most famous dessert which has its origins in the Veneto region while admiring the beautiful palazzi, canals and little squares. Sample gelato in one of my favourite gelaterias and you will be willing to come back many times to this shop before you end your visit in Venice.
Inclusions: Coffee at the famous Cafè Florian, A Tiramisù cup and a gelato spoon
Exclusions: Everything which is not mentioned in what is included. For example souvenirs.
Anna was a great tour. It was like a group of friends just hanging out. Super knowledge, great places she brought us to snd great suggestions for the rest of my stay. Even ran into her the next day. And was super friendly.
Padua is known for its countless cultural and architectural attractions, but this city also tells the story of man's journey in scientific research and knowledge, thanks to its important university reality. We will start from the Euganean Spas with a private minivan to reach Prato della Valle, one of the largest and most beautiful squares in Europe. Accompanied by our tour guide, we will move on foot to immerse ourselves in those places of Padua where studies, research and ancient knowledge echo. To reach our agency you can take the train from the following cities of Veneto. Get off at the Terme Euganee Abano Montegrotto stop located in Montegrotto Terme. From the station there are 5 minutes walk to our agency. - Train from Venice (40min.) - Train from Bologna (1h20min.) - Train from Treviso (55min.) - Train from Vicenza (1h.) - Train from Verona (1h.55min.) - Train from Ferrara (50min.)
Inclusions: Private transportation, Coffee and/or Tea, Tourist guide, Entrance to Palazzo Bo and guided tour
Exclusions: One-way train ticket from Venice per person
I was sceptical about renting an e-bike at first, but our trip completely changed my mind! Also, the bike rental service was great and very helpful (especially with adjusting the bike to my height). Definitely recommend doing a bike tour through the smaller villages around Padova.
