Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ([ˈmeːklənbʊʁk ˈfoːɐ̯pɔmɐn]; often Mecklenburg-West Pomerania in English and commonly shortened to "Meck-Pomm" or even "McPom" or "M-V" in German) is a federal state in northern Germany.
