The Heptapyrgion of Thessalonica, located above the old town of Ana Poli is a most interesting place to visit. We were there on a day when entry was free (I have no idea why), but the entry fee is quite modest. It’s an interesting place for a stroll, and bathrooms were free and very clean. There are lovely views of the city from here.

It's a very interesting place! Actually, I reviewed here Nea Potidea, because this village is a lovely place for a vacation. The see is clear, the sand is perfect and everything is so good! I was there in August 2016.

What a fabulous and interesting place. We stumbled upon this location as we were cycling by. As we peered in the gate we were welcomed by a guide who proceed to show us around explaining everything in English. This is a fascinating important historical site with some great examples of buildings showing the transition between cultures over the centuries- highly recommended.
