Even amongst the most discerning of travellers, the Linyanti Channel is fast becoming Botswana’s most sought-after wildlife haven. Nestled between the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, Linyanti is a rich yet diverse ecosystem that is fed by a permanent river flow. Built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh, Linyanti Ebony is an intimate tented camp granting panoramic views of its exquisite natural setting. The camp’s mindful design offers an authentic, eco-conscious base from which to explore this significant wilderness. The main area encompasses an expansive lounge and dining area, sparkling plunge pool, cosy fire circle and boma; the perfect place to strengthen family ties on your Chobe safari. The spacious two-bedroom family tent has a self-contained lounge area and private deck looking out over the wetlands plus, a spacious en-suite bathroom that features a shower and roll-top bath. Linyanti Ebony is home to some fantastic wildlife including a healthy population of predators such as lion, wild dog and several more elusive species delighting our guests year-round.
We stayed at 3 African Bush Camps during our safari and were blown away by each one. Our hostess was Helga, she was great to chat with and always made sure everyone had a comfortable stay. We still talk about how we wish that Chef Yum Yum could cook for us at home. This camp had our favorite food. From the grilled meats to the sides to the desserts it was just delicious. Our guide Esse was great too! He was great to talk to and knew a lot about the area and the animals we encountered. He always knew when an elephant was just showing off and how to respond with the vehicle to keep everyone safe when they decided to intimidate us. The only downside is that the air strip was flooded last year, so it’s about a 1.5 hour drive to the next air strip, but the guides keep it fun like a safari drive.
Experience a life-changing safari at our seasonal camp located on the southern banks of the Linyanti River in northern Botswana. Linyanti Wilderness Reserve is a private concession boasting splendid scenery of untouched grasslands, riverine forest and meandering lagoons. The sumptuous style belies the simplicity of the camp. Organic layers with a comfortable lived-in feel are imbued with elegant touches of copper and cut-glass add a dash of old-world charm. Underscored by our ethos of eco-sensitivity, this Linyanti safari lodge touches the earth lightly. With only 6 tents, the camp has an intimate atmosphere, ensuring a personalized service for each guest. The main area has two canvas-covered hubs; a dining area with an exposed kitchen and an open lounge. As with most of our camps, the campfire is at the centre, drawing guests to enjoy the authentic experience of the African bush outside. The location of our Linyanti safari lodge in the northern region of Botswana enjoys an abundance of wildlife. The area is frequented by vast herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra that attract iconic predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dogs.
Linyanti Tented Camp, available for families and small groups, is the ideal location for those wishing to experience the wildlife-rich Linyanti Concession in privacy. Unrivalled in its remoteness and sense of space, the camp overlooks the iconic marsh and floodplains with its four large, airy and en-suite tents designed to recreate the style of the early explorers.

Wonderful staff- loved the Monday night sing a long/dance with staff. Shout out to our guide MP for the very early morning unexpected run the day of our departure to see the mature lion, Golden Boy, strolling near camp and manager Theron for helping making our 35th wedding anniversary dinner special. This camp is just what we imagined it would be. Rooms had that old world lodge furnishings but with a modern, dual rainshower head, tiled shower stall and a great outdoor large sofa and funky outdoor shower. There was good game viewing and fun sundown pontoon boat trip. As a premier camp there was hot food served at all meals and choices- food was pretty good- memorable curry chicken lunch. Easy tea and coffee set up along with fully stocked, including liquor, mini bar.
