Trips depart from the Isle of Palms Marina and take you through winding salt marsh tidal creeks and the intracoastal waterway to Capers Island. I've been coming to this beach since I was little, and I never tire of it. The public beach access I used was very nice and didn't hurt my feet at all (I walked barefoot from my car). The beach at low tide is HUGE whereas at high tide can seem a little small sometimes. When I went, there were hardly any people on the beach. As usual, IOP is my happy place in this world. I hope to be back very soon.

The sunsets were stunning every night. The beach is clean and the sand is nicely packed which makes it good for running and walking. It's a family-friendly beach. We walked every morning for a few miles and even saw dolphins on one of our morning walks.
