We had a lovely stay at The White Moose Inn. Staff was welcoming. Room was large, very tidy and thoughtfully decorated. Room comes with breakfast. Bikes available for use. Snacks in the lobby and a happy hour - both on the house. Easy drive to Shenandoah, Luray Caverns or to stay local and dine at the Inn. We loved it and highly recommend if you are looking for a luxury weekend.

Hopkins Ordinary Bed and Breakfast is a historic inn located in the Sperryville, Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Shenandoah National Park. The roooms have fireplaces and porches; a full breakfast focuses on local ingredients and homemade breads. A brewery is in the cellar, and beer is served on site. Several restaurants are within walking distance, and a dozen wineries are within a half-hour drive. Come for a day of hiking, antiquing, visiting art galleries and the local distillery. Then come back to your room, taste the oferings at our brewery and relax.
First time staying at this place and highly recommend. We stayed in the Forager's cottage which is part of the B&B, but a separate dwelling. As we arrived we were warmly greeted by Sherri providing us useful information about our stay. She also greeted our new, 15 week old puppy with open arms - literally. The cottage was clean, well equipped, with key provisions to include coffee and cream, bottled water, etc. After unloading our bags, we were once again warmly greeted by Kevin as we approached Ale Works, their nano brewery. He showed us (to include our dog) to a nice table in their shaded beer garden. Beer and company were excellent. The next day after walking to the local coffee shop (which was also great) Sherri again provided us useful information regarding local hikes. In summary, this place exceeded our expectations. We'll be back.

Renovated turn-of-the-century Victorian B&B located on 138 acre farm practicing sustainable agriculture. Pond with canoes and fishing.
We are a family of four. Two young daughters 7 and 11 who were tired of the noise and stress of city life. We've been dabbling with the idea of buying a farm, but wanted to stay somewhere to test the waters before we took the leap. On a last minute whim we booked a stay at Belle Meade and were blown away. The couple, Mike and Susan are the most charming and love-filled people we've ever met. They are so welcoming and willingly shared incredible advice and lessons learned to help us better research. Their farm is breathtaking with purple hued clouds illuminating with every sunrise over their picturesque view of the Blue Ridge Mountains or Old Rag as they lovingly refer to her. We were so sad to leave because we felt we were home thanks to the hospitality and charming atmosphere. We will definitely be back :)

A luxurious destination bed and breakfast in Virginia Wine Country, Glen Gordon Manor boasts a rich history having formerly hosted members of the British royal family for many memorable hunts and balls. Overlooking the Shenandoah National Park from 45 acres of pasture, lawns, and gardens, guests will enjoy glorious views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dining at Glen Gordon Manor is truly an experience not to be missed! Your stay includes a leisurely, multi-course breakfast, and your trip would not be complete without joining us for dinner at least one night in our award-winning Houndstooth Restaurant.
Glen Gordon Manor is an exquisite location with beautiful scenery, welcoming staff, and a cozy yet top-quality environment. My father and I spent an evening wining and dining in their elegant dining area-- our entrees were superb and flavorsome. Moreover, the staff, particularly Dayn, went above and beyond to make our stay so special. It was a night to remember and I certainly encourage others to experience this location. Thank you, Glen Gordon Manor!

Located on eighty rolling acres, in picturesque Rappahannock County, Virginia, Blue Rock is a new take on the classic country inn. Breathtaking views overlooking a Koi pond set against a backdrop of vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains, create the perfect environment to have a glass of wine, delicious dinner, or throw a dream wedding.
We visited Blue Rock Inn (the previous name) several years ago, when it was under previous ownership and when we heard it was purchased, updated, re-opened and had a great chef, we really wanted to visit again! So, we made plans with another couple to stop in for dinner on a Saturday, but the other couple backed out last minute and the dinner reservations were somehow canceled, even though we still planned on being there… so, we showed up for drinks on the back patio and were so fortunate to score Cassie as our server!! Cassie was not only very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, she made sure that even though we only planned on being here for a couple of rounds of drinks and a snack, it was the best we’ve ever had! They have an interesting menu loaded with great small bites and we opted for their home made ciabatta with chili butter and it was outstanding! We also enjoyed some cocktails from their well-crafted cocktail menu, as well as some wine. They offer an interesting and eclectic wine list here. One of our favorite things was the amazing comfort and view from their back patio! They replanted the vineyard, which was ripped out by the previous owners and this new vineyard is being managed by the amazing Karl from the nearby Quivremont Winery. These vines made a very nice backdrop for a beautiful drinking/dining experience, with the amazing Blue Ridge Mountains in the far background! Overall, we were so happy to be here and enjoyed every bit of our visit! We would have stayed for dinner, had our original dinner plans not been cancelled by the reservation staff here (actually, our friends canceled and I called right after to just get a table for 2 instead of 4, but was told they already gave away the table). We’ll definitely come back in the near future to enjoy dinner!! I would highly recommend Blue Rock to those visiting (or living in) the area!!

A 200 year old National Historic Register plantation home on a working cattle farm adjacent Shenandoah National Park
Innkeeper 1812 property was a unique step back in time with Virginia’s oldest property continuously run as an inn. Phil, your extra ordinary host, will regale you with great heritage of Rappahannock County and environs. Beautifully maintained and kept property complete with beautiful stone walls, cattle grazing, pastures and mountain ridges galore. From the welcomed orange drink telling of the house rules to the proper guest room in the summer kitchen where up to 8 farm hands (aka slaves) slept indeed is like you traveled back to yesteryear. Dining on the hand made triangle wood table in front of a picture windows overlooking the dinner bell, fields and outdoor black cat, one is treated to a candle lit breakfast with pewter serving pieces. Don’t you dare be a minute late for the scrumptious breakfast or you will have the dinner bell rung!!! The crepe omelet with American cheese and true Virginia country ham, Toasted English muffin, berry jam and conifer garnish with non-alcoholic cider was the proper start to a rainy mountain day. Thank you for the Virginia hospitality Phil. A very memorable and enjoyable overnight visit to be repeated again soon!
