I am a frequent visitor of this beach.I loved this beach because of the sitting arrangement,crowds,small tea stall,good hotels like old coffee house,the statue of Mathsyakanyaka,art gallery,etc.Atleast 2 hours can be passed by simply watching beach.A lot of ice cream stalls.Better to avoid visit on holidays,too much rush and difficult to park cars.Byk can be parked anywhere.

clean beach, good crowd, relaxed ambience, good cafes around, beach chairs and umbrellas available on rent, life guards keep a good watch on the crowds. Nice place to be ...early morning and during the sun set.

Being a non-native in Trivandrum, I came to know about this beach from my friends. This place is a beautiful union of backwaters and sea. You can enjoy both the views from top of the bridge. Eventhough the beach has a very small shore, the highlight and the beauty lies in its view points. There are two rocky walkways which leads to sea directly. You can walk till the end and experience the high tides crashing against the rocks and also on you sometimes????.Sunset is a beautiful vision from here. Now, to reach this place you can take bus from Thampanoor as that is the cheapest option.Travel time is one hour from Thampanoor.Buses are there every one hour to muthalapozhi, not from the main bus stand but outside it.Return buses are also available till night 8.30pm. Autos will loot you as this is not a very popular place and also it is pretty remote. If you have your car then well and good you can also stop by random beach shores and beautiful churches on your way. Boating is also available on the backwater side of this beach. Ps:Best time to go here is during weekday evenings, so that you will get the view point wholly to yourself.
