The Palace of the Golfines de Abajo in Caceres houses an interesting display of artistic patrimony from the Foundation Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno. This house museum offers the possibility to know the evolution of nobility through the lineage of the Golfin family, who lived in this land since the 15th century. The Catholic monarch, Isabel and Fernando, were guests in this house during their two visits to Caceres. The house has a 15th portion that presents a house-fortress appearance complete of tower with machicolations. The other is a 16th century humanistic addition decorated with fantastic animals.
