Kedah (Malay pronunciation: [kəˈdɑh]; Jawi: قدح), also known by its honorific Darul Aman or "Abode of Peace", is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited. Kedah was called Kadaram (Tamil: கடாரம்; kadāram) by ancient and medieval Tamil people and Syburi (Thai: ไทรบุรี; RTGS: Sai Buri) by the Siamese when it was under their influence.

There are a lot of steps to climb but its worth it. First waterfall is pleasant to look at. Then walk up more steps for 20 mins to next waterfall/rock pools is excellent. Bring swimming togs. Free of charge to enter. Only rm2 parking at entrance. Toilets and simple shops onsite.

Tired of lukewarm seawater & pools, we stopped off for a dip at this waterfall today. Jackpot! Cool water temp that is lovely and refreshing to swim in. To top it off, we were surrounded by a tribe of monkeys while swimming so we got to watch them close up - very cute!!! Lovely deep pool to swim in, blue green fresh water and great view up to the top of the falls. Highly recommend this as a stop off if you are driving around Langkawi.

We were driving around the city when we decided to go to this place. It was an unexpected find after all. I didn't find this place on my search for things to do in Langkawi but I am happy it stayed that way. It is less touristy and I would say more fresh compared to Seven Wells ( but is also amazing). The stairs up are easy. It is a good place to just rest for a little after driving around the city.
