The walk from the Zumsteins Picnic Ground to Fish Falls, in the beautiful Wartook Valley, is a delightful nature walk that follows the creek to the falls. A medium level of fitness is required, as there are some uneven sections and rocky ground in places. As well as beautiful fresh air and the sounds of birds, views of the creek break up the walk along the way. Fish Falls are accessible from 3 levels linked by sturdy metal stairs. From the top level you can rock hop over a few large boulders to access the track which continues on to the base of Mackenzie Falls. This is an easier option to get to the base of Mackenzie Falls (rather than the steep climb down and up from the Mackenzie Falls car park). All up the walk is about 7 km return, well worth the effort to enjoy the beautiful scenery and be immersed in the sights, smells and sounds of nature. Take a back pack and break the walk up with stops for lunch and snacks and you will have an enjoyable morning/afternoon outing.

We visited Kalymna Falls Campground in Summer, there was no water in the stream so we didn't bother walking to the falls. But, we had a fabulous time walking over the rocks, logs and looking for lizards in amongst the rocks. They were everywhere! There was parking available, picnic tables, a fire pit and camping available. We'll definitely go back when there is some water. It is a beautiful spot!

A lovely waterfall especially after heavy rain, which we had. To make it more of a hike incorporate Chatauqua Peak, The Bullaces Glen cross the road and onto Venus Baths and then back in Halls Gap. About 6kms altogether and a great walk.

It's a short stroll to the base of the Silverband Falls which is interesting to see as the water appears to disappear underground if there is only limited water flowing.
