This place is fantastic, so much to do for such little cost, the kids were amazed! Bungee jumping, donkey rides, face painting, arts & crafts, huge mini golf, rides, adventure park, water park (fountains and paddling area), ride around the park on a train, free museum. So much to do, something for everyone and well suited for all ages up to age 12. For 4 of us it cost me £25 and this included 5 rides, ice cream and drinks. It can be as expensive as you make it. Definitely worth a visit ????????????????????????

Come and discover Barnsley’s hidden treasure – the island paradise that is Calypso Cove waterpark. Located just 5 minutes from Barnsley Interchange, Calypso Cove is home to fantastic flumes, sensational slides and wonderful waves - making it a great day out for the whole family! Splash your way through the slides, flumes and pools before retreating to The Hideout on poolside to refuel and relax with some hearty grog ‘n’ grub! There's plenty of fun to be had for young explorers too! Toddlers can enjoy Barnacle Bay, our interactive splash pool!
We visited 2nd jan 2020, about 12.30pm the drown alarm went off and we saw a life guard pull an elderly lady out of the deep end. He dived back in to rescue his glasses. Miserable crowd didn’t clap (we started but no one joined in). We had a great time - 4 year old loves the waves, pirate ship and kids splash area. 6 year old loves going to the green striped slide with her 7 and 9 year old cousins. We arrived at 11 and although a queue to pay there was no queue to go into the pool. When we left at 1pm there was a small queue to get into the pool. You book in advance for a particular time but the prices are significantly more - see website.

Designed for children aged 2 - 13, Gulliver's Valley Resort will be home to roaring dinosaurs, indoor attractions and exciting theme park rides. Enjoy a great selection of rides and attractions across multiple themed areas including Western World, Smugglers Wharf and the Lost World of the Living Dinosaurs.
I've already done one review of the park so I'll just review the Christmas event. Firstly they're massively underselling the Christmas event when describing on their website. Its absolutely brilliant!!! From outdoor shows to fake snow storms it's so good! There isn't many days left to go but I would highly recommend for ages up to about 12. The Christmas 'interactive toy shop' is unbelievable and you get to meet a certain someone at the end which is amazing!! I wouldn't want to spoil it too much for anyone wanting to go but all I'll say is its not what it seems! All I would say is that book your slot mid way through the day because when we was leaving at 4 the queue to get into the attraction was massive. There are still plenty of places for hot drinks and there is still fresh hot pizzas avaliable in western world and they've also got two marquees up there that has a bbq in. I did find more undercover picnic benches in western world (go near the drop tower). Absolutely well done Gullivers Valley, if this is what you can do in tier 3 I can't wait to see next year! I would love to see this open on Christmas eve, it would be at capacity I'm sure.
