For many people, this is the beginning of a spiritual roads; some souls, looking deep inside themselves, in a natural and peaceful setting, in the silence of the holy places, in the sharing with the other pilgrims. Walking along those trails makes people feel part of a larger family; it creates a sense of belonging; since we are easy and informal, the pilgrimage turns into an experience in sharing and friendship. It is a challenging experience as it requires continuous physical efforts. Me and three friends did TerraPura's Winetastic tour and it was incredible! Chris and Mirko took us to two distinctly diverse and unique wineries- one of the oldest Wineries run by a woman and her 2 daughters and the other set in a castle atop one of the most breathtaking views I think I have ever seen. Chris and Mirko were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the cities of Montalcino and Montepulciano- they even took us up to the top of Montalcino city hall for yet another breath taking view! Without a doubt one of my favorite days in Italy.
