We needed transportation from Whittier to Seward for another cruise the same afternoon as we arrived in Whittier. Jean and her company was quick to respond and offered direct service rather than through Anchorage at reasonable price. Driver picked us up at 8:45 am as previously arranged and delivered us to Seward port before 11 am. Highly recommend this company.

On our 2 week Rv trip through Alaska I planned on the extra expense of putting the Rv on the ferry from Valdez to Whittier. Since we were not taking a cruise through Alaska I thought this would a great alternative since we would be seeing more of the interior. Book well in advance through the Alaska Marine Highway System. It was around 7 1/5 hours long and the boat we took was the Aurora. We arrived at the dock @5:30 and the entire process was easy and organized. We pulled right up to the drive up window, they checked our paperwork and the woman who took our info automatically turned the propane off for us. We got in line and waited to load. At this time I suggest having someone in your party walk on the ferry as soon as your able to and find your spot on the boat. I would recommend the right hand side on the outside deck called the "heated solarium". Grab your lounge chairs and claim your spot! It was foggy in the morning and some of the chairs were wet. Maybe a bring a small towel to wipe off but this was the spot to be. One of my boys had the breakfast on board and it was really good. All the food looked really good but we packed our lunch and snacks. The ferry ride through the prince william sound was stunning and I took way too many pictures!
