My wife and i enjoyed a wine tasting and then bottle of Foothills wine with our halibut dinner at Early Mountain Vineyards. The winery sits on a beautiful estate. The staff were responsive. The wine tasting was enjoyable, and the halibut was exceptional. It was worth the one drive from our rental cabin in Afton VA.

We pride ourselves on having an eclectic mix of products; many of which are made in the USA! Some items are new or barely used, and others are more seasoned but well loved. Peddler’s Emporium does not take any consignment items. We purchase our entire inventory outright. We are dealers for Triloka products including essential oils & incense. We also carry The Mountain apparel T-Shirts.

I’ve been to many breweries and this is definitely the most beautiful one I’ve been to. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was so laid back and welcoming. The beer was delicious and had a great variety. The scenery was beautiful. Food truck was delicious. We’re visiting from out of town and want to come back again before we leave!

The tasting room is a relocated 1830 cabin, off the beaten path and with nice views. There also are some picnic tables. The owners are friendly and talkative. The owners have other interesting touches, such as the unique tasting glasses which are sourced from Belgium, and which are very much in keeping with the era of the tasting room. The tasting pours were notably generous. The wines are very much in the European style that we prefer. The cabin is quite small, in keeping with the time and situation in which it was built. It wouldn’t take many visitors to overcrowd it. We would recommend to friends, and we would return.
