This has to be one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. It would have been fun to have known the guy who created this venue. Learning about his beliefs and political views was a hoot!

Unique art museum that features creative works of self-taught local and regional artists.
This art center/museum is a must stop if you are visiting Lucas. Hopefully when you stop in Lucas you plan a whole day. You enter in a Folk Art mecca. Cost is minimal. You have a private tour guide to explain art and artists, from all over. The tour consists of one building downtown, a private home a couple blocks away and a garden tour of beautiful stone walls and preserved pieces of art from buildings around the country. They are potentially loosing some of the amazing pop top can pieces of art, because family is going to sell them and museum can not afford to buy all pieces, so would go soon to see this portion alone. Imagine a life size motorcycle, life size car, clothes, etc made out of pull tops off pop cans. Remember this is grassroots folk art. Enjoy the creativity and reuse of what others call trash.

Stop by the market to get their homemade bologna. Bought bologna and cheese. Set up a picnic right outside the market. Ask for a knife to cut the meat and cheese.

An empty lot in downtown Lucas has been transformed into what has to be the most artistic public toilet in the U.S. The outside resembles a giant toilet seat and tank with a large roll of toilet paper beside it that turns into the sidewalk. On the inside, both the men’s and women’s toilets are decorated with fun and colorful mosaics. The men’s has dominos, tractors, Matchbox cars and even toy robots built into the mosaics. The women’s side has more feminine designed mosaics.
Be a Ghost Hunter for the night and participate in a real paranormal investigation of the Garden of Eden! You will be trained on how to use the investigation equipment. This is not a tag along event, you will be actively participating. The three floors of the home, grounds, animal cages, wash house, and mausoleum where S.P. Dinsmoor is displayed in a glass coffin are part of the evening Tour!
