My wife & I were in Lebanon on an early December weekday night for another Christmas-themed event, so we decided to take a short drive north of town via Monroe Street/Widicus Road to see the lights display at Horner Recreation Park. The number & variety & creativity of displays were a very pleasant surprise. We spent about 20 minutes on our very slow drive along the narrow winding dimly lit park paths, with stops at the amazing "Blinky" animated lighting display (synchronized to voice & music broadcast within the park via 90.5 FM) and at a spot overlooking the park lake (to enjoy the lights reflected in the still water). The FM broadcast is available for the duration of your tour, providing Christmas music to enhance your holiday mood. Some of the displays are simple, others are elaborate, but together they make for a beautiful & smile-inducing experience that all ages will enjoy.
