Last friday I took a trip with my father and my son (2,5 years old) on baadfarten from Lyngby-Sophienholm and back. It's a nice scenic trip, and my son loved it.
Bathroom available where you get on/of and you can eat a packed lunch there. Food available at Sophienholm. You can bring a stroller for free.

The museum of Brede Works is located in Denmark's largest protected industrial complex. Sound, light, film and a multitude of other things give you an insight into the story of the lives of ordinary people in the transition to modern society, as well as the significance of industrialisation to daily life.
this museum can be seen for free if one has purchased the ticket to visit the open air museum (Frilandmuseet), which is right down the street. we thoroughly enjoyed this interactive museum. it's broken into two sections, one being interactive. actually the other section has some interaction capability, however the text is only in Danish, so it made it kind of hard for us. the signage throughout the facility is excellent. this is a non trivial item as we have visited a couple of places in Copenhagen that were void of English translations, which severely diminishes the experience. anyway, the non interactive section really hits home the fact that the Danes experienced the same issues that the US did back during the Industrial Age - unionization, poor working conditions, child labor, etc. it just goes to show that the problems that the US dealt with at this time in history were not limited to the US. the interactive portion of the museum was very interesting - you were able to become one of the parts of the machine in a textile manufacturing shop - the union leader, the old guy who had given 50 yrs of his life to the company, the new girl who wants to change the world, ... very cool perspective. definitely worth a visit while in Copenhagen. it's a 20 minute train ride from the city.
