My family stayed on site 21 in our popup and had a great time. We LOVED the pencil tree forest. There are only a handful of campsites w electric in this circle of trees. Although these types of trees don't offer a lot of privacy I still enjoyed it. Our site was a short walk down to the lake which we used for fishing. There is a water pump and latrine in the circle. We did not go in the shower house so can't attest to the cleanliness.

Even if you have no particular reason or interest to visit Kewanee IL - just go there and visit Good's Furniture Store. The Good's store, that originally opened in 1895, is an example of a long-term commercial success in selling high-quality furniture for any types of rooms. Their customer service is perfect, they do a lot of TV ads too, and Mary Good is one of the top executives of the store. The furniture store is enormous - it occupies a dozen buildings at three city blocks, has a restaurant in the lower level at one of them, and Good's Furniture B&B Inn for visitors. The store sells the top brands of furniture - from classic to modern designs, priced accordingly. One can actually 'furnish' a room of their house online, and the store will come up with suggestions and further assistance. Their online service is excellent. In the store itself, the furniture is displayed in that 'layout of a room' format - you can visualize and furnish completely any room in your house. Photos attached to this Review, can give you a visual idea of the store and the furniture. Spacious glass elevators are available for moving from one floor of the store to another, and the wide, glass bridge walkway between the two main buildings allows customers to walk around comfortably and have a proper look at all displays. I want to specially thank Mary Good, because she talked to us during this visit. She was wearing a mask, but I recognized her right away from TV commercials. Mary is an absolutely friendly and unpretentious person, she told us about the current state of business and the new policies connected with the pandemic situation, she was all pleasure and hospitality. Although Mary is on the TV ads about their store, you can hardly think of this down to earth person as a celebrity. But she truly is. My friend hasn't been in this store before , and was very impressed with the choices of high-quality furniture and with the top level of customer service. And with Mary. Thank you very much, Mary! Thank you Good's Furniture Store! Wish you success in your great business - and see you again soon.
