Devdari Falls

I went in 1996 from my BHU university days, being a hostel student,i found this trip from day scholars, and my experience has been wonderful. It was Oct, post monsoon time, water flow was medium, and you can view rainbows in water fall, depending on the time of the day you are visiting. Both Rajdari and Devdari are excellent picnic spots, for 1 day trip. Not sure if there is any govt guest house, circuit house for overnight 1-2 day stays.

Chandra Prabha Wildlife Sanctuary

Reviewed By 605anshumans - Varanasi, India

Located very near to Varanasi this place is a perfect break from bustling city life of Varanasi the lush green scenic beauty of this area looks amazing with an early morning sunrise. I booked a package tour and was served breakfast in the Jungle and then we headed for a jungle trekking and a visit to waterfalls which was amazing as it was early in the morning & chirping of birds and sounds of waterfall made the environment very serene & peaceful. Was lucky enough to site some Sloth bears and a group of Hyena during trekking our support staff told they have spotted Leopards in this jungle during evenings when they come out in search of water & food. The main attraction was a well organized tour to a nearby "Tribal Village" I was amazed by the simplicity of villagers here and ancient traditions & culture which they have still kept alive in their daily life. We were served Lunch which was prepared in local style & was served in earthen utensils,All in all this day tour is recommended for all of you who want to explore Varanasi in a different way and bring oneself close to nature.
