It is a great place to go for train enthusiasts of all ages. Having been on the trains there more than 40 times and counting, it is a great place which all people should visit, rain, shine or snow. The Mini Rail is wheelchair accessible and all carriages have doors on the sides to make access easier. It is 5 dollars per person for a 25 minute ride down a 2.5km track. You will see wombats, kookaburras, wallabies, golf balls, and many other things as you head up on your really comfy seats. Your train, unlike many other places, is decided by what you want to take. You might get the blue 8005, the red Ghan (known as CL98 by myself and the trainspotters). On some weekends, you might get to go back in time with a trip on a steam engine. If you are a diehard train enthusiast, then come down to the Casino Mini Rail. There are 3 engines being rebuilt with a fourth possible. The Ghan is very clean as it had a rebuild. From the days of steam to the days of locomotives like the EL Class, there is not one thing that you won’t like. Crowded trains?? No, that is Diamond Valley, a larger mini railway with too many people. Casino has no crowds at all, you might be lucky enough to have your own whole train to yourself.
