This park is huge and there’s so much to explore. We camped here for a week with kids ranging in the ages of 12-16. There’s a range of activities to keep all ages entertained. There’s hiking trails, gorgeous water views, playgrounds, wild life and frisbee golf. There’s plenty of room to spread out and go on different hiking trails. We will definitely be back. The only downside was the bathrooms in the campground area aren’t kept very clean. The woman who cleans them just uses a water hose and sprays from the ceiling to the floor. She soaks the toilet paper and the ceiling drips for about 30 minutes after she’s done. I have never seen anyone clean like this. The bathrooms are a 2/10. There are dead bugs everywhere and the walls are dirty.

Good place to watch from if there's anything to watch. We were just coming out from the museum across the tracks when.....the gates went down, the lights started flashing, and the thunder of an Amtrak train was in the distance. We weren't 30 feet from it as it went by. I don't know if it would have been any better watching from the platform but we went over to check it out anyway. You can see the crossing diamond well from upstairs and some of he historical district but no other trains showed up. Bummer, but go here anyway!

My 2.5 year old son loves dinosaurs and he had a blast here. A bit disappointed that they charged full price during Covid when all their interactive exhibits where closed, but it was still very enjoyable and I love that it's dog friendly. I was also impressed with the exhibit quality, I thought this would be corny but it was great!
