The main town of County Meath, Navan is the gateway to “the Heritage Capital of Ireland.” Ancient historic sites and religious ruins abound, and the Iron-Age monuments of the Hill of Tara alone are enough to fill you with awe. There’s so much more, though, like Trim Castle and the Abbey of Kells and the Neolithic standing stones of Brú na Bóinne. Book a guided tour so you can soak up as much as you can.

Our group (5 adults and 7 children ages 3-14)had the pleasure of visiting Zone last week. Needless to say they catered for every age group in one site. We enjoyed, Go Karting, Bowling and soft play as well as the delicious but nessasary fresh coffee for the adults! This was my first time to visit a facility like this since the lockdown and i was very impressed and reassured of the new protocols and safety measures the staff delivered. its clear by all the new equipment, new suits, helmets and disposable balaclava that they have spared no expense in upgrading the facility to take account of the new covid measures. What made this place different to anywhere else I've visited since Covid was the genuineness of the personal service we received from the staff and particularly the owner (sorry i can't recall her name). Its clear from the face-lift and freshness of the facility that they not only invested hard work and energy into reopening. While they cannot facilitate the numbers and bookings they once enjoyed due to the restrictions on numbers, i truly hope they day will again some day. Each person was required to sanitise and complete form on entry. There were sanitisation points everywhere i looks and a one way system and the bowling balls were all sanitised in front of us before we began the game. While there was extra paperwork to complete it didn't take away from the experience and we felt reassured and safe. Our visit reminded me why its so important to support small businesses and their hard work. We had a ball, everyone had smiling faces as we left which can be difficult to satisfy when you have kids in our age range. They are already talking about when we are going back. We dont live nearby and were on Staycation in the Ancient East but will definitely drive 1hr to enjoy the fun again. #makememories thanks to Zone. Julie Ann

We attended this farm as part of a hen party for my sister, best laugh...She loved it, there were animals, muck, baking bread playing bodhran and Irish dancing!! She milked a cow, jumped in a bog, we all enjoyed and our guide James was great, all the staff we met were very friendly!! Definitely be back..

Great place to visit, very old, very atmospheric. As it is away from main roads it is seldom packed so great opportunity to wander around and consider the life of the original inhabitants. In very good condition and a super place to take photos. For anyone interested in history or architecture it is a must see.

The Hills Of Tara was not what we expected in the best of ways! Behind an old church and cemetery were the ancient ring hills of Tara. The history behind the place was fascinating and we even got to see a fairy tree! Definitely worth the trip! (Little advice: use Google Maps to get there, not your cars built in SatNav. The SatNav took us about 5 miles down the road and said we were there.)
