Hello Adventurers! We are now open for our covid-safe rentals, lessons and tours according to the Provincial Health Guidelines. Come join us for some relaxation, fresh air & sunshine and exercise. Shake off the doldrums and immerse yourself in a quiet wilderness paddle. The scenery is spectacular here with mountain vistas, old growth rainforests, and our amazing wildlife. What better way to see all of this than to paddle the shores of beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada in a kayak. We will be opening soon for our multi-day adventures, so give us a shout or email if you want to be on the list. Day tours and sunset paddles start as low as $55/person and include instruction, kayak and gear, dry bags and a certified guide; no experience necessary. Your captain (Shane Servant B Sc.) is a marine biologist with over 25 years experience on the ocean. He has done fishing charter work in many areas in B.C. since 1995. Shane worked as a public educator and Diving Officer at the Bamfield Marine Science Centre from 1995-2000. He is a Master SCUBA DIVER TRAINER for PADI and a professional videographer involved in a number of nature documentaries. Since 2000 he has focused on fish and fish habitat surveys for industry and government, whales are also sometimes spotted. Many marine birds will keep you entertained as well. You also get to learn about some interesting facts about the local area. See website. The Water Bear is a very solid custom 26+’ aluminum live aboard previously used to conduct marine research in remote locations. This vessel has lots of stories. This vessel is very comfortable and sea worthy. All safety requirements by Transport Canada are met or exceeded. Fully insured. We can accommodate large groups.

The park seems to be fairly small but we only had about half an hour to spare so it was perfect. Walked the 5 minutes to the lookout point and sat on the rocks. We saw a group of sea otters and a group of sea lions! Such a beautiful view too. Worth a visit if you’re not too far!
