We enjoyed skiing here with beginer and medium level skiers. Rental prices for skies were good and no problem parking. Beautiful area.

That was our case. The ride up was sure an experience, though I had to keep my eyes closed from the half-way up as I am afraid of heights (and as getting closer to the station on the top, the cable car gets slower and slower - it drove me crazy:-)) If you like hiking, I absolutely recommend Zugspitze-Gatterl hike to Ehrwalder Almbahn: you have to buy a combined hiking ticket which entitles you to ride Tiroler Zugspitzbahn up, then the short ride by Gletscherbahn down from where you start hiking for about 5-6 hours to Ehrwalder Almbahn. From there you can take a bus back to your car parked at the foot of Zugspitzbahn. The bus is included in the cable car ticket. The hike is rather challenging, you´ll feel your knees and thighs after you´re done but it´s worth it. We made it even with our kids (10 and 12) but I recommend doing so only if you´re really an active family used to hiking.
