I visited the railway station many years ago because of a love of the film Brief Encounter. I was stunned by how much work has been carried out since I last visited. As well as details of the stations restoration there is a cinema which shows Brief Encounter on a loop in a small replica cinema and there is also a very interesting homage to David Lean. The centre is run by very friendly committed volunteers and is a really great experience it’s free but donations are welcome. If you’re a bit of a film buff I’d throughly recommend this absolutely lovely heritage centre.

Came here In-between lockdowns and it was a great place to get away from it all. Plenty of butterflies, birds and lizards to see along with some breathtaking views from the top. There are two ways up, one is pretty vertical up the cliff face the other is more gently but still requires a good pair of boots.

We visited today with our 11 month old son, pre booked via telephone on 10/8/2020 and it seemed they had a spreadsheet to allow people to enter. Easy entry and ensured we were our masks to enter the shop to pay for tickets and enter farm as goverment guidance states to do so in enclosed spaces but noted a fair few did not. You can purchase both "large aninal food" and bird feed for 50p each which we did. Good range of friendly farm animals and staff, had a pet of many different animals and they seemed to enjoy the interaction with people. Highlight was a goat with Donald trump type hair. Great family day out for only £4 each and our son was free. There was a pool and play area which we didn't use with deck chairs and such. Would recommend to anyone. Free onsite parking and there is a cafe, butchers and farm shop as well as a garden centre.
