An outdoor paradise offering swimming, boating, fishing, biking, hiking and more.
Although the campground was full, there was still plenty of room to maintain distance. Nice walk to the bog in the late afternoon. Bugs did not bite, but did fly around the eyes. Even the background road noise did not interfere with a perfect day to walk the park.

It was a beautiful fall day. We enjoyed walking along the lake and downtown. Nice area for little shopping and a meal. Restrooms by the tourist information center and Paul Bunyan Park/Statue. Paul Bunyan Park has picnic tables, benches and pavilion if you want to enjoy a take out meal or just relax.

Located on Hwy 2 East, between Bemidji & Cass Lake, Animal Land is Minnesota’s largest wildlife park/petting zoo. Lions, tigers, bears, camels, leopards, cougars, three species of deer, lemurs, monkeys, bobcats, raccoons, fox, elk, llamas, donkeys, reptiles, and exotic birds are just a FEW of the nearly 100 animals who make their home at Animal Land. Indoor learning center, gift shop, picnic areas, playground, handicap accessible, birthday parties, group rates, traveling educational programs and more.
We had a great time with the young kids. They loved being able to feed the animals and the deer especially. It’s a quiet little zoo. Nothing to big but perfect for children under 10.
