I cannot imagine going to this wine region without always, always stopping by Wilhelm Family Vineyards. Karyl (the winemaker) and her husband Kevin produce some of the most delectable wines and their hospitality is always so welcoming. Though I am partial to reds (which they excel at), there are a couple of whites that are lovely to me especially during hot summer evenings. And don’t even get me started on raving about the Hazlenut Port she produces - just heavenly!! Full disclosure here - I became so enamored with their wines, I am now a member of their wine club.

We're a small winery that's awesome! One of many great Sonoita-area wineries in Southern Arizona, our family farm is a fun, warm place for families and wine afficionados alike. Come in and enjoy our patio with a view, try the homemade sodas made by the kids, tell some stories, and explore the wonders of a winery that has free Cheetos.Say hi on our Facebook page (just search for AZ Hops and Vines)
This winery has something for most visitors - comfortable interior, interesting art, good views and outside seating, a fountain with ducks, goats, a pig, a small fenced playground, friendly staff, and a reasonably priced wine tasting. I felt that I could have brought all ages of my family here. The driveway is a one-way loop around the winery buildings. Just stay to the right and park on the side of the buildings away from the road. I enjoyed a couple of the wines and liked the Sangria so much that I bought a full glass of it. $5 tasting fee was nicely priced for 5 wines and the Sangria. They hope to add a brewery, hence the 'hops' in the name, but currently those are not allowed by the county.

Always a stop when in Elgin/Sonoita. The wine is tasty; the view is amazing and people always friendly. Small venue with limited seating. The tastings are usually done outside so make sure you are dressed appropriately.
