At Darling Olives, we not only produce great-tasting olives, but also offer a great tasting experience. For half an hour we will keep you entertained so you can discover our range of delicious products in our tasting room. You can look forward to learning more about how to buy a good olive oil, tasting different styles of olives, jams, oils and even olive chocolate all while enjoying a taste of our two exclusive wines (when in stock.) It is a lovely experience and an absolute taste-adventure (even for non-olive eaters).
We had a great olive and products tasting. Great staff and lovely clean environment. We enjoyed learning about all the lovely products offered, everything from Chocolate to pastes, jams, rubs and even wine. Really worth a visit.

Groote Post is a historic 18th century farm on the Cape's West Coast where winemaking traditions have been revived by the Pentz family. Unique aspects and cool climatic conditions of the Darling Hills yield superlative fruit. Our wines are produced to reflect the uniqueness of our vineyards.
The tasting room is inside this gorgeous, historic Cape Colony building where you have to walk through the shining wine tanks to arrive at a smiling young woman who will guide you through the range... the whole range if you dare. I absolutely loved standing and chatting to our wine hostess. It was a wonderful experience for my Italian family member to enjoy and taste the beautiful wines Groote Post is producing. I will definitely be returning! but next time I'll bring the 4x4 rather than my run-around.

Ormonde Private Cellar is situated on the West Coast of South Africa, where the rugged Darling hills roll and fall along the contours of an ancient granite intrusion. These molten rocks, forced from the earth to 300m above sea level, guard the Atlantic Ocean while banks of fog bless the vineyard with coolness and moisture. Proprietor Theo Basson embraces the legacy left to him by his father Nico Basson and his grandfathers before him. The appreciation for accumulated knowledge and attention to detail are principles Theo vows to when asked about the various accolades Ormonde has been awarded. Ormonde is proud to house in it's stable two Old Mutual trophies, as well as various Platinum, Gold and Double Gold medals over the years to mention but just a few. Wines tasted at the tasting room are exclusively available from the estate and selected restaurants. The serene atmosphere and personal experience at Ormonde promise our guests a memorable experience.
We visited Ormonde for lunch platters after our flower tour and it was a highlight. Excellent service. Scrumptious platters!

Nestled in the unique region of Darling lies a place, so wondrous, tranquil and enchanting that it's no surprise that we are able to produce some of the most exceptional wines that this distinctive part of the world has to offer. Cloof Wine Estate is truly off the beaten track, but it's often the road less traveled that leads you to places that will be etched in your mind forever, provide food for the soul and leave you lingering towards your next visit. We produce internationally acclaimed wines at affordable prices for a global market through progressive wine making techniques, while offering value added opportunities through unique labelling solutions and online marketing support.
This was my husband and I’s first visit to South Africa and friends we were staying with recommended Cloof wines. We all decided to spend the afternoon there and booked a wine tasting, lunch and game drive. Cloof Wine Estate is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Cape Town and there are panoramic views over the vineyards, Burgherspost game reserve and mountains. When you arrive there is a long drive way leading to the Celler Door and Kitchen and we were lucky to see gorgeous chocolate brown cattle drinking from the lake by the drive. The pretty Weaver birds were flying around too. The wine tasting was excellent and we enjoyed them all. The accompanying explanation on how they are made was very interesting and I understand they have won many awards over the last few years. It was amazing to learn that their grapes are all picked by hand! We each had our own favourites but mine were Duckitt Sauvignon Blanc and Sexy Shiraz. We ordered a selection of wines to take away and also a presentation gift box to give to our friends. After the wine tasting the lovely Robyn served a tasty and generous cheese & charcuterie platter, a chicken & salad wrap and fried chicken pieces and chips. We had a good Bush Vines rose and a super Dark Side Cabernet Sauvignon to wash lunch down. To end our afternoon Ederick, the Conservation Manager at Burherspost then took us out on a very interesting game drive where we learnt about their conservation work. All in all a great way to spend an afternoon

Our visit to Tannie Evita was unplanned but what a great experience. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating- we arrived at 4pm and they close at 4.30pm ???? Inspite of the tight timing they were so hospitable and engaging. We had the most delicious carrot cake, peppermint tart and of course those world famous koeksisters. COVID regulations are in place and well exercised.
