Naracoorte Caves National Park

The caves have preserved an outstanding fossil collection. The Wonambi Fossil Centre offers visitors the opportunity to discover what the area was like over 200,000 years ago.

Got there at 9.15 and could book all 3 tours for the morning. After a friendly cafe lunch we self guided around the other cave system and the museum...can honestly say it kept 3 teenagers and 2 adults entertained until 2pm!!! Highly recommend!!

Sheep's Back Museum

Another high quality regional museum that focusses on sheep. Interesting buildings and good, if somewhat dated, interpretation. Cheaper than the Millicent National Trust Museum at $8 for adults.

Naracoorte Swimming Lake

A jewel in Naracoorte's recreation crown is the man-made swimming lake. Open from 1 December until 31 March, it is one of the largest swimming pools you will ever see and entry is free. The sheltered and gently sloping shoreline is one of Australia's safest inland beaches. Relax on the sand, swim some laps in the 50 metre lane-marked area, or just sit in the shade of the many beautiful gum trees on the surrounding lawns.

What a great facility and beautiful spot too cool off on a hot day. Free to use and plenty of space for everyone of all ages to enjoy a swim. Easy access via the beach side of the lake otherwise ladders all around the lake every few meters. Lots of spots to sit under trees and seems to be plenty of parking. Enjoy ????????‍♀️ ????
