This popular beach is known for its picturesque dunes.
Having been to the beaches at the east coast of Fortaleza (Morro Branco, Praia das Fontes and Canoa Quebrada) we also decided to take a day trip to de Praia de Cumbuco at the western side of town. Pick up from hotel around 0730 hrs. Beach is much closer (only 45 minutes drive) while the beach is as nice while the dunes are even higher for the buggy ride (with of without emotion?!). For RS 35,00 (less than € 10,00) the bus of Planetur brings you there. Return around 17.00 hrs. At the place where they drop you off you can also have lunch while in the weekend there is live music.
