Park located on the shoreline of Lake Superior encompassing cliffs, dunes, waterfalls and lakes.
To actually see the pictured rocks you must either rent kayaks to get close up and personal, or take the boat tour. The double tiered boat gives you sensational views of the magnificent turquoise, orange, brown, copper, pink colors within the stones sculpted and worn by the seas of Lake Superior. The backdrop of the turquoise water is reminiscent of the pacific ocean and is a sight to behold.

When we started planning our vacation I thought we would rent kayaks.....until I saw how expensive it was. We passed and decided on the pontoon instead after reading a few reviews. It was cheaper than kayaking, and we didn’t have to wear a mask like on the tour boats since we were on our own. It was so relaxed and we all enjoyed our time! The half day was plenty of time to see the lakeshore and the sunken boat. We stopped briefly at the last beach-there is a neat little waterfall there. We think this is the only way to see pictures rocks. Kayaking seemed kind of stressful and you don’t see very much of the coastline from what we observed. The people at Seabergs were great to work with! The boats were clean and well kept!

If you are not on a boat you are not with Pictured Rocks Kayaking! We are the only kayaking company in the area that brings you to the best parts of Pictured Rocks National lakeshore by boat. Your tour begins on a specialized vessel heading out of Munising Bay with amazing views of Grand Island, the Historic East Channel Light House and the beginning of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. You may sit back and relax as we anchor near the best parts of the lakeshore and prepare to launch your kayak by boat. The majority of points of interest will be seen by up close and personal by kayak. For safety, the boat will stay with the kayaking groups for the entire adventure.
