Our docent was a tribal member descended from early members of the Wampanoag tribe and very familiar with the history and willing to share her family and tribe's legacy. The museum is a little jewel, with a dugout canoe and wigwam in the back. There's a lot to learn and our host was generous in sharing the tribe's history up to the present day.

Mashpee commons has a variety of shops and several choices of places to get a meal. The parking is free and plentiful. The grounds are very well taken care of. We took advantage of some after Christmas sales and stopped by Bobby Byrnes for a. Cocktail.

We built our brewery just 10 miles over the Cape Cod Canal in Mashpee with the mission of crafting hop-forward beers in small batches that we'd love to drink ourselves. We are striving to create beers and an atmosphere that mirrors the uniqueness of our peninsula and the people on it. Our 7bbl brewhouse has been in full production mode for the last month getting over a dozen new beers ready for
We had a great time here. We sat at the bar and enjoyed trying multiple beers and talking to the bartender. They had some unusual holiday brews and other more "typical" choices. They don't serve food directly but have food trucks or in this case, Wolf Pizza with a large pizza oven on a trailer. It's also family friendly. They serve soft drinks and even though there's no playground the kids that were there seemed to have a lot of fun running up and down the steps outdoors to an upper picnic area.
