The 5 Best Specialty Museums in Phuket Town, Phuket

April 27, 2022 Sheron Bogner

Colorful Phuket is a mélange of lifestyles, a place where tranquil monks navigate the same streets as pumped up nightclubbers. The ornate temples and lively cafes of Old Town are prime spots for exploration. Check out the Shrine of the Serene Light and the aromatic Nguan Choon Tong herb shop. Browse and bargain for pretty trinkets at the nearby Thai Amulet Market. Don’t miss an opportunity to take in a performance at the epic Siam Niramit Phuket theater, a true cultural extravaganza.

Phuket Thaihua Museum

Learn more about how modern day Phuket (as we know it today), actually came to be, by popping into the Thai Hua Museum. I really enjoyed getting an insight into the Chinese immigrant experience (the good and the bad), on the island. It is also great to see that capitalism is celebrated here, with the positive influence of entrepreneurship on Phuket's growth and popularity, prominently on display. There are also interesting historical artifacts from fashion, to communications, to construction, as well as transport (see my YouTube) that one can see and touch. And so yes, the Thaihua Museum in my view, well worth a visit.

Snake Kingdom

Snakes cause fear and trembling in most of people. We want to inform our guests that for many centuries people have learned to live with them and use them for the benefit of oneself."Kingdom of Snakes" (Snake Kingdom) is an entertainment and educational center dedicated to these amazing reptiles. The center is founded and managed by the Phuthai Group, one of the leaders of the tourist tourism market in Phuket.Unlike most snake farms in Thailand, Snake Kingdom not only entertains tourists, but also provides knowledge about snakes that completely change the perception of these reptiles. Go on an educational tour of the kingdom will be especially useful for children, whose idea of these animals will form without fear to them.Snake Kingdom consists of a serpentarium, a museum, an amphitheater, a pharmacy of traditional Thai medicine and a leather and souvenir shop.
