Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Union Square has a year-round greenmarket, where you can sample goods from local farmers. It also has several playgrounds, a lively holiday market, and benches where you can watch a slice of New York go by.

Dominating the southern end of the park is this artwork by Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel which has a digital display and a larger area where a metronome spits out smoke at certain times . On the left side of the work is a set of fifteen large LED digits, called "The Passage", which display the time in 24-hour format. The seven leftmost digits show the time in conventional 24-hour format, as hours (2 digits), minutes (2 digits), seconds (2 digits), tenths of a second (1 digit). The seven rightmost digits display the amount of time remaining in a 24-hour day, as tenths of a second (1 digit), seconds (2 digits), minutes (2 digits), hours (2 digits). thanks wikipedia
We’re one of the very few auction houses in the world dealing exclusively in rare, original vintage posters. Since the late 1980s, we’ve held auctions 3-4 times a year. Poster aficionados, enthusiasts, collectors, galleries, and leading art museums around the world value Rennert’s Gallery as one of their most trusted venues for successful consignments, unique buying opportunities, unequaled experience in the field, and an impeccable eye for quality in original poster art. Our gallery hosts rotating exhibitions of original poster art, as well as a bookstore of research and coffee-table volumes on poster art, and an extensive research archive open to the public by appointment. We additionally offer for sale a wide catalogue of “Contemporary Classics” poster originals from the 1960s to the 1980s, with specialties in local New York topics, plus late 20th-century Polish, Japanese, and Israeli designers. Our auctions are held under our subsidiary brand Poster Auctions International.

The Church of St Francis Xavier is a lovely church with a beautiful interior with many murals and icons, and special altar area. The church community, parish members and staff are most welcoming. I enjoy the programs that they have in the church including spirituality yoga where you can enjoy this wellness practice in a magnificent environment that is up lifting and has religious significance in the visual Biblical narrative.
