Der Turm ist 142 m hoch, in 23 m Höhe befindet sich eine Aussichtsplattform, die über eine bequeme Betontreppe zu erreichen ist und einen herrlichen Rundblick ermöglicht.

I learned about this monument by coincidence when someone shared its pictures on internet and decided immediatelly to go to see it in real. I was amazed and definitelly not regret two hours of driving. There are several ways to get to the memorial. I parked my car at the hikers parking under the monument, first followed a marked trail and later very steep narrow unmarked trail up to the top. It was not the best decision in the hot weather and long sitting in the car. But magnificient building and breath taking views made me forget all the suffering. I arrived from the top and I liked beautiful forrest around so much that I decided to skip the info center and the restaurant and continue hiking in neighborhood which I can trully recommend. There are several other little points of interests like Moltke tower, Wittekindsquelle or Margareth chapel not far from here.
