Hopkins & Bros. Store is a historic landmark that is owned by the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society. Inside the store is an exhibit about Onancock, VA and a restaurant, Mallards at the Wharf.
The store with its old cash register, old cans of oysters and other provisions and other such fittings, makes you feel like you're stepping back in history. The accompanying photo displays and text tell the story of the decades-long rise and then decline of the store and the wharf area it serves. Worth a 20 minute visit, followed by a meal and/or drinks at the Mallards restaurant next door.
