We walked through the church and followed the signs to find a wonderful panoramic view - the sun was out and it was a beautiful evening ... the view takes your breath away and its as John Ruskin described it .. Take a while and scan the view and sit a while .. tranquility ..

View the River Lune from the ancient Devils Bridge, check out the Devils hand print in the stone of the bridge and walk along the River Lune into the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Great meeting place for bikers and walkers

We loved wandering in and around this lovely church, with its surrounding views and ancient graveyard, the stones of which have stories to tell. Most beautiful are the bells that sing out across the town. The bell ringers practise every Friday night, treating tourists to a free concert. While we were there we followed the sound of the bells into the bell tower where we were allowed to watch the bell ringers at work.

The circular walk from the town centre down the radical steps via devils bridge was brilliant, the river views just lovely. A very worthwhile short and easy walk.
