Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

The oldest street in Los Angeles is fun to visit, especially during special events like the "Blessing of the Animals" or "Dia De Los Muertos" (Day of the Dead.)
Next to the Union station, this is a beautiful place lined with street shops, cafes, historic monuments, live musicals, all Mexican.

In keeping with adjacent Union Station that opened a year earlier, this beautiful edifice is in Spanish Colonial Revival style. For almost 50 years it was the city's main mail processing facility. In the mid-1980s the postal authorities decided to build an expanded GPO in South Central to cater for ever increasing demand. Thus the building had to find other purposes, including as a movie location and latterly a data centre has established there.

Though much smaller than the Chinese neighborhoods of New York and San Francisco, great food and numerous small Chinese specialty stores still abound in Chinatown.
Chinatown has by far been one of my favorite places to visit. You cant beat the sightseeing, shopping, eating, and cultural experience all in one place. The best part is, if you are living in LA, you can do this practically any weekend. It's about the easiest and less expensive way to get out of LA without leaving LA. Emerge yourself into a unique eastern culture that has mesmerize and captivated the world. You can find everything here from your favorite dumplings, foo dog statues, and even get your Chinese horoscope read all in one place.
