April 11, 2022 Major Galusha

Whether you are looking for sun-drenched beaches or outdoor activities in beautiful countryside, New Jersey has plenty to offer. Those who love the great outdoors should head for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which runs along the Delaware River for forty miles. Here you can go rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking or fishing, or simply admire the stunning waterfalls. There is a huge range of hiking trails to choose from as well as historic sites to visit. In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing near Blue Mountain Lakes, and birdwatchers might be lucky enough to catch sight of bald eagles. If you are looking for a change, visit one of New Jersey's eleven lighthouses that are open to public, such as the one in Cape May. For art and history enthusiasts, New Jersey State Museum in Trenton has historic artifacts and American fine art from the nineteenth century to the present day as well as a Planetarium.

Highland Airs Alpaca Ranch

Went with a group of about 30 people here. Only costs 5 bucks to tour the ranch and well worth the price. They also have a beautiful gift shop full of alpaca products: sox, sweaters, small and large toy alpacas (SO SOFT) , etc. The group divided in 2 and we had a lovely young, sweet tour guide. So informative and interesting. This would be great to take people of any age!! Good to know is the road to the ranch is unpaved and 10 mph and you really have to go slow ! !

A group of friends and myself took a trip to the bluebird Alpaca Farm. I did some research on the internet of alpaca farms and bluebird came up. We decided to take the day trip and go. We arrived a little later then our booked time. They were super accommodating with the situation and fit us in another time slot. We learnt a lot about alpaca’s including the difference between alpacas and llamas!! Then we got to go in the field and play, chase, and feed the alpacas. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! Being a animal lover I had the time of my life as did the 3 other people I was with!! We could not have asked for a better day. They employees were super nice, and helpful to any questions we had. I would highly recommend bluebird Alpaca Farm to anyone !!
